The NORCAP Foundling Group
NORCAP was set up in 1982 to support all adults affected by adoption and to reduce distress and anxiety. This is done by:-

• providing a telephone helpline each weekday
• giving support and advice to members about adoption and its impact
• giving specialist advice and support for adults abandoned as babies
• operating a Register which may link people separated by adoption who want to be put in touch with each other.
• giving advice and information on searching for relatives separated by adoption
• running a network of trained volunteers who provide local support to members.
• providing local support groups for members
• offering a skilled intermediary service to facilitate reunions and provide ongoing support.
